Shot Scope has launched CONNEX, a set of plug-and-play mobile-enabled performance tracking tags, for those looking to track their game via a subscription-free app without wearing a watch.
Once screwed into the end of your clubs, the CONNEX tracking tags (RRP £99.99) record every shot hit on the golf course by tapping each club against your phone prior to hitting your shot. On the first tee, you simply need to open the app, select your course, and you’re ready to use your phone as a course guide with a bird’s eye view of every hole.
“One thing we strive for at Shot Scope is to provide a product for every golfer,” said David Hunter, chief executive officer at Shot Scope. “With CONNEX, we are enabling those who don’t like the distraction of a watch to track their game and have access to more than 100 industry-leading statistics. By simply having their phone in their pocket and adding CONNEX game tracking tags to their clubs, we are providing golfers with another method to track their on-course data using our technology. The tags come with the free mobile app and web dashboard statistics platform, so golfers are getting access to incredibly premium technology for a very affordable price.”
Using the free mobile app, users will be able to tap anywhere on the hole to get instant GPS distances, with post-shot analysis available directly on the aerial maps. You can also review the green layout and move the pin position to help with club selection.
The purchase of CONNEX comes with a host of other benefits including unrestricted connectivity with Shot Scope Academy – a game improvement tool designed for both players and coaches. More than 100 statistics, including strokes gained, are captured from your round and uploaded to the Shot Scope app – where players can connect with their coach to share thoughts about their performance. Golfers will also have access to virtual communities to see how other users play a particular course, interactive competitions, and a platform to share achievements with friends.
