Situated on the south side of Darlington with easy access to the A1, the golf course at Blackwell Grange Golf Club is set in beautiful surroundings and offers a test to golfers of all abilities.
Blackwell Grange has undergone a lot of changes in the last couple of years and while the layout here has always been beautiful and challenging, substantial work on the course has improved it a great deal.
The par 71, 6,446-yard layout with the River Skerne looping through the 145 tree-lined acres is undoubtedly a fine test of golf – enhanced greatly since the club’s move to the old Stressholme site in 2013.
There are also excellent practice facilities here, including a 13-bay floodlit driving range, a swing studio and a new junior academy course along with an excellent pro shop and a modern, friendly clubhouse with top-notch food.
Tuition at Blackwell Grange is delivered by PGA professionals Peter Raine and Aaron Cox – who has been instrumental in growing the club’s junior section, an achievement recognised at the 2022 England Golf Awards when Aaron received the trophy for Participation & Development Coach of the Year.
