North East women’s and girls’ golf is in a great place, as the August 2022 edition of Northern Golfer proves.
Jess Baker stars on the front cover following her win in the 119th Women’s Amateur Championship. As Jess says in our interview, she is proud of the trail girls like her, Whitley Bay’s Rosie Belsham and Cumbria’s Caitlin Whitehead blazed as youngsters. The girls following behind them – notably Rachel Gourley, Maggie Whitehead and Charlotte Naughton – also feature this month.
