The Lookers Junior Masters returns this summer with seven qualifying events across the north of England ahead of the final at Close House in October.
The event, which began in 2017 as part of Close House hosting the British Masters, will see youngsters from across the region compete in local events, from which the top two boys and one girl from each age category will progress to the final. The age categories for the event are 12 and under, 15 and under and 18 and under.
This year’s qualifying events take place at: Lancaster Golf Club (April 19), Close House (May 27), Middlesbrough Golf Club (July 26), Durham City Golf Club (July 29), Worksop Golf Club (July 29), Carlisle Golf Club (Aug 12) and Bradford Golf Club (Aug 26).
The final will take place over the Colt Course at Close House on October 28 with 63 players taking part.
Close House managing director Jonathan Lupton said: “We’re really excited to host the Lookers Junior Masters for a third time in 2019.
“The event has been a great success in its first two years with many talented youngsters taking part in events all across the north of England.
“The idea for the event came from our attached professional Lee Westwood and has really been embraced by clubs and juniors. We’re excited to see more players than ever before, from even further afield, competing for the trophy this year.
“A huge thank you to Lookers for supporting the event again this year, and to PING for their continued support.”
