Albatross Golf Holidays & Events has partnered with the Clutch Pro Tour – with the North East-based business set to become the tour’s official travel partner in 2025 and host two pro ams in the Middle East with Challenge Tour invites up for grabs.
An official feeder to the Challenge Tour offering invites as well as three full cards to the leading players on its season-long order of merit in 2024, the Clutch Pro Tour will be working with Albatross – which is run by North East-based PGA professionals Andrew Scrimshaw and Martyn Jobling – to run a series of events throughout 2025.
“We’re incredibly excited to partner with the Clutch Pro Tour and offer an unrivalled pro am experience to amateurs and professionals in 2025 and beyond,” said Albatross founder Andrew Scrimshaw. “There will be enhanced professional purses, fantastic amateur prizes and the opportunity for professionals to earn Challenge Tour starts from very limited fields – all of which makes this incredibly exciting for the pros and their teammates.”
The first events announced as part of the partnership are back-to-back tournaments in the Middle East in late-January and early-February. All professionals competing in these events will receive free entry and a guaranteed fee of £500 – with the prize fund set to exceed £21,000 in both events. The winners of each event will also receive a Challenge Tour start, with the player with the best combined score from the two events also set to receive a Challenge Tour invite. PGA professionals are welcome to compete in these pro am tournaments in partnership with Clutch Pro Tour, and will require no official release from the PGA should there be a fixture clash.
The Abu Dhabi Pro Am will take place January 26-31 2025, with the Dubai Pro Am scheduled for February 1-6 2025.
