PGA professionals from across the region have topped leaderboards in recent weeks as the North East & North West PGA staged pro am events at Linden Hall, Ramside Hall and Prudhoe.
In the WaterAid UK pro am at Linden Hall – which raised almost £7,000 for the charity – Morpeth’s David Clark, Consett’s Mark Ridley, Blyth’s Ross Crowe and Westerhope’s George Cowan shared top spot with one over-par scores of 35 points.
At the Tom Flowers Memorial pro am at Ramside Hall – which raised more than £2,300 for St Cuthbert’s Hospice – Wynyard-based James Harper led the field with a three under-par total as Mark Ridley and Ken Ferrie tied for second place.
At Prudhoe, Penrith’s Tim Dykes shot a winning score of four under-par for his second pro am win of the year, leading the field by three shots as Mark Ridley was second and David Clark finished third.
