Richmond Golf Club members Mike Carr and David Gray achieved the unlikely feat by making holes-in-one on the same hole while playing in a seniors match against Teesside. The pair both holed out at the short par three 12th as the Richmond team went on to win 5&3.
Meanwhile, Richmond’s team won the second round of the inaugural Yorkshire Union Seniors Team Championship. Playing at Thirsk and Northallerton – the team of John Howson, Gary Catt and Guy Pini topped the leaderboard individually. John (+6), Gary (+6) and Guy (+7) came together to see Richmond finish 15 shots clear of Knaresborough in the team event.
