Aaron Mohun of Delamere Forest, Cheshire lifted the Lookers Junior Masters trophy at Close House in the event’s grand final.
Aaron, 12, picked up the overall winner’s trophy along with an invitation to be part of the British Masters Pro Am in July 2020 with a nett score of 68.
The 74 boys and girls from across the north of England competed in six age and gender categories. Aaron picked up the overall title and the U12 boys prize while Sam MacDonald (Crossland Health) won the U15 boys title with a round of 70 and Matthew Dale ((Middlesbrough Golf Club) won the U18 boys event with a round of 71.
In the girls’ categories, Sofia McGhie (Lancaster Golf Club) won the U12 event with a round of 74, Izabella Knowles (Thirsk and Northallerton Golf Club) won the U15 title with a round of 69 and Harriet Barker (Carus Green) won the under 18s title with a score of 72.
This year’s Junior Masters brought together qualifiers from seven events earlier this season. Motor retailer Lookers sponsored the event for a third year alongside PING.
As part of the event, Lookers once again supported a programme involving more than 20 local schools, with Close House professionals delivering coaching.
