Tyneside-based James Wilson continued his early season success on the North East & North West PGA circuit with victory in the Kitwave Dundonald Links Pro Am.
James, who won the circuit’s four-round event in Turkey earlier this year, posted a six under-par total of 78 points – including a one under-par second round in strong winds – to top the 28-strong leaderboard. Morpeth’s David Clark finished second with 76 points, while Brampton’s Phil Waugh was third (74), and Luke Searle (72) was fourth.
In the team event, David led his team – including Ben Maxted, Chris Straker and Steve Welsh – to victory with a 26 under-par total of 172pts.
