Penrith Golf Hub has welcomed PGA professional Ellie Broome to its team.
Ellie, 23, joins from Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Club and will be focussing on taking the junior drive to the next level at Penrith.
Ellie will be delivering a structured method for youngsters who wish to progress their golf. Comprising one-to-one teaching which will chart individual progress, group sessions and a series of skills challenges, the new initiative will encourage those who wish to develop beyond the standard Saturday morning session and attempt to take their game further.
Ellie will also be helping to develop Penrith’s 60-strong ladies’ section, offering one-to-one coaching sessions and a six-week beginners’ course.
Ellie, who turned professional in 2018, is a US Kids Certified Coach and launched EJB Golf in 2020, which has introduced more than 80 juniors and 50 ladies to the game.
“It is unusual to have an all-female golfing class with a female PGA professional, so I am excited to be able to offer that environment at Penrith,” said Ellie. “The hub is renowned for its amazing teaching facilities and pioneering technology, as well as its experienced team. I’m delighted to be part of that team and I’m keen to take my own coaching skills to the next level, surrounded by seasoned professionals.”
