Morpeth pro David Clark followed his trip to Final Qualifying for The Open with a win the following day in the JCT600-sponsored Matfen Hall pro am.
David posted a four under-par score of 40 points to pick up the £2,000 winner’s cheque in the North East & North West PGA event as Aaron Cox and Tim Dykes finished in a tie for second place one shot back.
Meanwhile, in the Morpeth pro am – also sponsored by luxury motor dealer JCT600 – Alex Wrigley, Ken Ferrie and Tim Dykes shared top spot with four under-par scores of 40 points.
