Yorkshire’s men’s team held on to top spot in the Northern Counties men’s league as they continued their unbeaten run this season.
Yorkshire narrowly beat Northumberland 10-8 at Bradford Golf Club – following a 3-3 tie in the morning foursomes with a 7-5 win in the singles to remain undefeated in league matches this season and maintain their place at the top of the table.
Meanwhile, Cheshire beat Durham at Royal Liverpool Golf Club – triumphing 4.5-1.5 in the foursomes before winning the singles 7-5 for an 11.5-6.5 victory.
In the final clash of the fourth round of matches, Lancashire beat Cumbria 13-5 at Fairhaven.
The final round of matches takes place on September 6-7 with Northumberland hosting Cumbria at The Northumberland, Durham hosting Yorkshire at Chester-le-Street, and Cheshire welcoming Lancashire to Reddish Vale.
