Titleist introduces new Velocity golf balls for 2026

Titleist has unveiled the latest generation of its Velocity golf ball – engineered to deliver longer distance off the tee, lower long game spin, a more penetrating flight, and reliable greenside spin – unlocking improved performance through advancements to every layer of the golf ball.

The new Velocity (SRP £28 per dozen) features a high-speed construction that increases distance from tee to green through a faster cover and softer core formulation which work together to reduce spin in the long game and deliver increased distance. There is also an improved 350 octahedral dimple design which delivers a more piercing ball flight with lower peak height.

The Velocity ball’s DNA has always centred around maximising tee to green distance. The focus for Titleist Golf Ball R&D for the 2026 model was to help golfers gain even more distance by targeting spin and trajectory.

To drive down spin in the long game, Titleist engineers started by reducing the overall compression of Velocity through a softer core formulation. A firmer ionomer cover formulation further lowered spin while adding ball speed.

Next, the team looked at trajectory. Through edge angle and depth changes, Titleist engineers refined the design of Velocity’s 350 octahedral pattern to bring the ball flight down slightly, delivering a more penetrating flight that provides additional distance while maintaining ample stopping power into greens.

Velocity is recommended for players who prioritise distance from tee to green above all other performance attributes.
