Richard Wheatley has extended his lead at the top of the Yorkshire of Merit after 16 events.
With just five events remaining, Bradford-based Richard sits at the top of the table with 975 points – with Sudbrook Moor’s Levi Desmond second with 671 points, and Consett & District’s Luke Bonser third with 614 points.
Having won at Selby earlier this season, Richard won his second event of the year at Northcliffe – leading the field in the Sir Norman Rae Classic with rounds of 69 and 63 for a 10 under-par total as Peter Akester and Huey Cunningham finished eight shots back in second place.
Meanwhile, in The Whitley Cup at Dewsbury, Oliver Cage led the field with rounds of 65 and 67 for an emphatic 11-shot win.
In the Coble Hall Scratch at Leeds, Durham City’s Jack Richardson topped the leaderboard with rounds of 66 and 69 as Carus Green’s Will Coxon finished one shot back in second place.
