2025 WPGA Series Order of Merit winner Holly Morgan sets her sights on more success this season
Holly Morgan, who topped the 2025 WPGA Series Order of Merit and came very close to defending the WPGA Professional Championship title she won in 2024, has set her sights on more success on the national stage in 2026.
Lindrick-based Holly, who played in her first Women’s PGA Cup in the US after winning the WPGA Professional Championship at Goswick in 2024, was a model of consistency in 2025 – finishing T3, T13, T2, T4, T3, third and ninth in her seven WPGA Series starts across the UK and Ireland – as Tracey Boyes finished second in the order of merit.
“Winning the WPGA Series Order of Merit was a great way to finish off last season,” said Holly. “It was quite a steady year, I didn’t do anything amazing or disastrous, I just played well in every event and racked up the points.
“My tied-second finish at Saffron Walden in June was a highlight. It was a bit of an up and down round – shooting level-par with back-to-back eagles – but I made the most of some scrappy golf and it was really rewarding to put that score together.
“I focused on improving my putting last year, switched putters, and got rewards from that. Holing more putts makes a big difference and moving from a streaky putter to a more consistent one has given me a lot of confidence,” added Holly, who also got married in 2025 and teed it up at Royal Troon in the final event of the year – where she finished ninth to confirm her place at the top of the points race – shortly after returning to the UK from her honeymoon.
Looking ahead to the 2026 season, Holly has set her sights on retaining the WPGA Series Order of Merit title and earning her place in the GB&I Women’s PGA Cup team, which will face the US at Carden Park in Cheshire on September 3-5.
“I’m looking forward to another busy year, and my number one goal is making it into the GB&I team for the Women’s PGA Cup,” added Holly. “I’ll be doing everything I can to get a place in the team. The WPGA Professional Championship is at Carden Park too, so performing well there will be really important.
“I loved every minute of the PGA Cup experience in the US in 2024 – it would be amazing to have another chance to be part of the team. It’s a different dynamic, one I really enjoy, and I’ll be working hard to be part of it again in September.”
