Lindrick’s Tom Osborne and Teesside’s Tom Hartshorne narrowly missed out on victories in the Lytham and Fairhaven trophies.
At the 59th Lytham Trophy, England men’s squad member Tom Osborne shot rounds of 69, 76, 72 and 69 to finish just one shot behind Frenchman Hugo Le Goff – who shot a four under-par round of 66 on the final day to lift the trophy.
At Fairhaven, England boys’ squad member Tom Hartshorne finished alongside Sweden’s Edwin Sjodin with a level-par total after four rounds – and was narrowly beaten in a four-hole playoff for the title. Meanwhile, his England and Teesside teammate Alex Boyes was part of five-player tie for third place.
