Yorkshire Inter-District Union begins the search for its new secretary

The Yorkshire Inter-District Union (YIDU) has begun the search for its next secretary following the announcement that Alan Barraclough will stand down from the role after 32 years of voluntary service.

YIDU – which was formed in 1973 to facilitate competitions and matches bringing together Yorkshire’s eight district unions – relies on the work of volunteers to minimise costs for affiliated clubs and their members. It runs events and matches for men and juniors throughout the season, with its work led by its secretary along with the eight district union presidents and secretaries, and liaison officers from YUGC.

Those interested in finding out more about the role should contact their own district union secretary (details available on district websites or via clubs) or Chris Wren on crwren54@gmail.com.
