Hartlepool’s Alex Wrigley returned to the NE/NW PGA circuit for the Matfen Hall Pro Am and topped the leaderboard with a sensational eight under-par round of 64.
Alex led the field by three shots as Ken Ferrie finished in second place with a round of 67. Craig Goodfellow and Phil Waugh finished a shot further back in a tie for third place.
The circuit’s schedule continues on Friday July 9 with the Stocksfield Pro Am before heading to Morpeth and Blackwell Grange.
