Will Coxon wins the 133rd Tennant Cup

Carus Green-based Will Coxon achieved a rare double north of the border as he won the Edward Trophy and Tennant Cup.

Will, a student at the University of Stirling, won the Edward Trophy at Glasgow Golf Club (Gailes Links) in April and lifted the 133rd Tennant Cup – the oldest open amateur strokeplay trophy in the world – with rounds of 67 and 71 at Glasgow Golf Club (Gailes Links) and rounds of 75 and 65 at Glasgow Golf Club (Killermont) for a six under-par total and a place in a three-player sudden-death playoff – which he won at the second extra hole.
