James Walker and Harry Hunter-Mapp have picked up wins on the PGA in Yorkshire circuit.
In the Yorkshire Open at Howley Hall – part of this season’s order of merit – James (The Oaks) topped the leaderboard with a one under-par total after rounds of 70 and 71. Pannal’s Ollie White and Driffield’s Paul Lockwood finished in a tie for second place on one over-par.
In the PGA in Yorkshire Classic at Rotherham, four players – Harry, Michael Ramsden, Alex Belt and Thomas Curtis – shot one under-par rounds of 69 to lead the field after in 18 holes. In the playoff, contested by Harry and Alex, Harry came through to win his first event as a professional.
Meanwhile, Rotherham’s James Freeman won the Burstwick Pro Am with a two under-par score, and Reece Samson led the field in the Seaside Pro Am at Bridlington with a one under-par round of 70.
