Under Armour unveils Drive Pro Clone shoes

Under Armour has unveiled the next chapter in its golf performance footwear range with the launch of the Drive Pro Clone shoes.

Designed to help golfers move more naturally and play with greater confidence through changing conditions, the Drive Pro Clone (RRP £160 (spiked) and £140 (spikeless)) has been developed to address a longstanding challenge in golf footwear – matching the natural shape and movement of a golfer’s foot without restricting comfort.

The Drive Pro Clone – available in black/anthracite/metallic gold, distant gray/midnight navy/metallic silver, white/white/metallic gun metal, and stone/gridiron brown/metallic gun metal colourways – introduces an adaptive solution built to move with the golfer and deliver a custom fit for your foot.

“Traditional golf shoes create gaps, pressure points and lost power because they are built around a single, fixed shape,” said Jake Haley, senior manager of golf footwear and apparel at Under Armour. “With the Drive Pro Clone, we set out to eliminate those compromises entirely. Every golfer deserves a shoe that adapts to them, not the other way around, and this design gives athletes a truly personalised fit that stays consistent from the first swing to the last.”

At the centre of the shoe’s innovation is the proprietary auxetic Clone upper – a material that behaves less like static fabric and more like a dynamic surface. By expanding, contracting and shaping itself to the unique geometry of the foot, Clone creates an adaptive fit that remains consistent throughout a full round, regardless of fatigue, terrain or conditions.

The new shoe has already been put into play across numerous global tours – with Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen wearing it as he won the Australian Open in December, and Patrick Reed wearing it as he won the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.
