Tynemouth’s Lee Grayson and Alan Moses got their year as captain and vice-captain of their home club off to a winning start with victory in the Newcastle & District Golf League’s Captains & Vice Captains event at Blyth Golf Club.
Lee and Alan topped the leaderboard with 38 points as The Northumberland’s Ally Macdonald and Paul Coulthard finished second, and Blyth’s Jonathan Aisbitt and Lee Metcalf finished third.
The first round of inter-club matches in this year’s Newcastle & District Golf League is scheduled for Thursday May 1.
