Teesside’s Tom Hartshorne has been named in England Golf’s four-player team for the European Young Masters at RCF La Boulie in France July 24-26.
Tom and George Whitehead (Hillside) will represent the boys, while Ellie Lichtenhein (Buckinghamshire) and Annabel Peaford (Walton Heath) will represent England’s girls. Annabel won the individual event last year as England finished third overall.
England men’s deputy performance director Stephen Burnett said: “It’s great to be heading to Paris to play at a wonderful venue. The players selected have been in great form and we’ll be going out there to contend in European golf’s premier event for under-16s. Annabel played great at the European Team Championships so it’s a fantastic opportunity for her to try and defend her individual title, while Ellie, Tom and George will all be itching to get at it.”
