Titleist launches its new T-Series iron lineup

Titleist has introduced its new T-Series lineup – comprised of the next generation T100, T150 and T350 irons as well as the new T250 model, and the new high-launching T250 Launch Spec model.

Each iron (RRP £197 per iron) is designed around a specific set of performance characteristics while being built to blend seamlessly with one another.

Packaged in a forged multi-material clubhead with a tour player-preferred profile, the new T100 irons – the most-played iron model on the PGA Tour – deliver precision and feel with improved performance. One of the most significant improvements in T100 from the prior model is out of the rough – with Titleist engineers designing more aggressive, steeper-walled grooves in the mid- to short-irons (7- PW), which help maintain spin rates out from the rough or in wet conditions. The T100 also features the Variable Bounce Sole, minimal offset, split high-density tungsten weighting and a progressive dual-cavity construction, a new Variable Face Thickness (VFT) design in the 3-7 irons, and a new muscle channel design in the three- and four-irons which helps lower the centre of gravity and increase launch. The new T100 irons are also designed with one-degree stronger lofts (33-degree seven-iron) than the previous generation T100 following requests from PGA and LPGA tour players.

The new T150 irons retain their position in the T-Series lineup as the faster player’s iron. A slightly larger profile than T100 offers a clean and compact look at address, with tour players including Byeong-Hun An and Aldrich Potgieter utilising the model at the top end of their bags. T150 irons feature one-degree stronger lofts than T100 and an improved muscle channel from seven-iron up, which lowers the centre of gravity in the long-irons.

Undergoing a redesign from its predecessor (T200) as well as a name change, T250 features a new all-steel construction. Featuring a thicker topline and wider sole than the T100 and T150 models, T250 also features forged L-Face construction, a lower centre of gravity, and a V-Taper design which improves ball speed and raises launch on off-centre and low-face strikes.

Meanwhile, the T250 Launch Spec model provides the same technology and features the same construction as T250, but with a lighter headweight and added loft.

Finally, the T350 model features an L-Face construction with a unique multi-zone VFT design, which drives high-launch performance on low-face strikes and generates faster ball speeds across the face. T350 also benefits from improved Max Impact technology, which promotes more consistent carry distance and dispersion.
