The Northumberland to host First Stage of 2025 DP World Tour Qualifying School

The 2025 DP World Tour Qualifying School schedule has been announced and includes three new First Stage venues – including The Northumberland – and a return to INFINITUM for its Final Stage.

Players will compete across three stages as they aim to add their name to a growing list of major champions, world number ones, Ryder Cup stars and DP World Tour winners produced at Qualifying School since its inception in 1976.

The Qualifying School will visit 15 venues from August to November and will conclude with Final Stage at Costa Dorada’s INFINITUM resort for a seventh successive time, and as the first of an extended three-year partnership through to 2027.

At the conclusion of Final Stage, the leading 20 players and ties will earn playing opportunities on the DP World Tour alongside full playing status on the HotelPlanner Tour for the 2026 season.

All three venues making their Qualifying School debuts will act as First Stage hosts, including The Northumberland, Frederikshavn Golfklub in Denmark and Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil.

Both Frederikshavn Golfklub and Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil have played host to HotelPlanner Tour events in recent years, with Frederikshavn doing so in 2022, while the French venue will host Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge for the 12th time later this year.

Italy’s Golf Nazionale, the 2023 Junior Ryder Cup venue, returns as a First Stage course for the second successive year, as does Huddersfield Golf Club.

Second Stage will take place across Spain October 30-November 2, with the same four venues returning to the schedule – Desert Springs Resort in Almeria, Isla Canela Links in Huelva, Golf Las Pinaillas in Albacete and Fontanals Golf Club in Girona.

Mike Stewart, DP World Tour Qualifying School director, said: “It’s always an exciting time announcing the schedule for the DP World Tour Qualifying School, and this year is no different. We’re delighted to have 10 fantastic First Stage venues, including three that will be hosting for the first time.

“Following the conclusion of First Stage, Second Stage returns to Spain, and will be followed soon after by Final Stage where we head back to INFINITUM which has been the perfect host for several years now.

“INFINITUM is a first-class venue and we’re grateful for their continued help and hospitality. It is a true highlight of our schedule.

“Qualifying School exists to give players the opportunity to further their careers on the DP World Tour and HotelPlanner Tour, and we truly believe we have a schedule that provides a true test. For those that do come through the three-stage process, I’m certain they will be ready to compete in 2026.”

The Final Stage of Qualifying School will take place at INFINITUM from November 7-12, where 156 players will compete over six rounds.

Entries for the DP World Tour Qualifying School will open on June 4, 2025.
