Proud dad David MacLaren caddied for his daughter Meghan as she held her overnight lead to claim her first Ladies European Tour title in Australia.
The 23-year-old (pictured) carded a level-par final round in hot and humid conditions to finish on 10 under-par in the New South Wales Open at Coffs Harbour Golf Club.
Meghan’s first Ladies European Tour win came in just her 11th event.
“It feels incredible. I didn’t think those words would be coming out of my mouth so soon!” she said as she thanked her dad, Staysure Tour CEO David a former single figure handicap golfer with Pontleand, for carrying the bag over the weekend.
“He was helpful in that he didn’t say anything the whole way around,” joked Meghan.
“It was great to have him there, just to keep me calm and make sure I didn’t get ahead of myself. He deserves a lie down,” added Meghan, who earned the winning point for Great Britain & Ireland in the 2016 Curtis Cup.
