Srixon launches ZXi drivers, fairway woods and hybrids

Srixon has launched its ZXi metalwoods – including three new driver models as well as fairway woods and hybrids.

The technology in the new range is headlined by i-FLEX – a redesigned face thickness pattern that optimises energy transfer from the clubface to the ball. To achieve the flexibility and ball speed, Srixon engineers utilised Ti72S titanium – a material which is stronger, lighter and more durable than previous models. The thin face centre, supported by thickened areas on the heel and toe, forms the unique shape of i-FLEX.

“With i-FLEX technology inserted into the ZXi woods, we were able to unlock an extra level of performance we’ve never had before,” said Joe Miller, Srixon Europe product manager. “The flexibility of these clubs enables a more efficient transfer of energy, which in turn, generates more power at impact. With every swing, golfers will be able to feel the added strength and responsiveness of these new woods and see their shots go further.”

The ZXi driver line-up (RRP from £549) includes three distinct models, led by the ZXi driver which delivers all-round performance by combining fast ball speeds and high MOI to provide players with consistent drives, forgiveness and relatively low spin. The ZXi LS driver features a low spin profile – making it the choice for players with aggressive swings who seek lower ball flights and added distance. A completely new offering, the ZXi MAX, is Srixon’s highest MOI driver to-date.

All three drivers also feature advanced adjustability options – with various weight port locations and a new 1.5-degree hosel sleeve offering 12 positions to fine-tune loft, lie and face angle. They also have a new laser face milling pattern which helps stabilise spin and make the drivers more forgiving in wet conditions.

Sharing the same foundational technologies, the ZXi fairway woods (RRP from £329) and hybrids (RRP from £279) deliver greater ball speed and long-game performance along with new adjustability options.

In selected ZXi fairway woods, a strong, lightweight carbon crown positions mass low and maximises COR, while the stepped crown design lowers the centre of gravity – resulting in higher, longer shots. The fairway woods and hybrids also feature progressive new footprints, improving the shape of the soles and increasing overall forgiveness.
