SO/ Sotogrande Spa and Golf Resort Hotel has unveiled a selection of new stay and play packages designed to offer guests the chance to play Spanish and European Top 100 golf courses in one of the continents most-revered destinations, and enjoy winter sunshine in the Mediterranean.
The headline act of the new collection of packages is the Sotogrande Golf Tour Classic. Guests will experience a tee time at three legendary courses – former Ryder Cup venue, current LIV Golf host and number-one course in Spain, Real Club Valderrama; number-two course in Spain and home of the DP World Tour’s Andalucia Masters, Real Club de Golf Sotogrande; and recent Ladies European Tour host venue and number-seven course in Spain, La Reserva Club – as part of a five-night stay at the resort. In addition, the new Golf Escape package will offer guests the chance to enjoy rounds of golf at the on-site Almenara Golf, which features in Spain’s Top 100 courses, and nearby La Reserva Club, which has recently been listed in the Continental Europe Top 100. Three-, five- and seven-night packages with golf are available.
After selecting the length of their stay, guests have the option to choose the BIRDIE, EAGLE, or ALBATROS golf package – each offering access to different renowned courses. The new packages feature accommodation at the five-star luxury wellness retreat, SO/ Sotogrande Spa and Golf Resort – recently awarded Best Luxury Lifestyle Resort in Europe at the 2023 World Luxury Hotel Awards. All packages are based on a stay in a SO/ Comfy Room and include daily breakfast served at SoCiety restaurant, access to Spa & Wellness Club hydrothermal circuit and indoor pool, and access to 24/7 gym with daily complimentary group classes. Package guests will also benefit from one cryotherapy session per person, 10% discount in the Almenara Golf pro shop, 20% off rack rates at partner golf clubs, and 25% off additional nights at SO/ Sotogrande Spa and Golf Resort.

Almenara Golf is located on-site at the SO/ Sotogrande Spa and Golf Resort, with the first tee just walking distance from hotel bedrooms. The Dave Thomas design has recently undergone an extensive remodeling by legendary local golfer Manuel Piñero. Surrounded by the Los Alcornocales natural park, it offers another varied and enjoyable option with 27 holes over three nine-hole layouts to play as much as you want with the All You Can Play package (available from three nights and including daily green fees at Almenara Golf – from €617).
Set atop Sotogrande’s highest peak, La Reserva Club is the newest course in Sotogrande and has recently played host to the Ladies European Tour’s Aramco Series. Designed in 2003 by American architect Cabell B Robinson, the championship layout features wide, sweeping fairways that lead onto large, undulating greens, alongside numerous challenging water hazards.
