James Simpson lifted the Hollinside Scratch Trophy at his home club.
Whickham-based James led the field with a one under-par round of 70 in the 18-hole scratch event, which is part of the Durham Order of Merit, as Matty Cornish finished second and Robbie Cornish was third – both players shooting one over-par rounds of 72 and being separated by countback.
