Skipton Golf Club is celebrating a double trophy coup this season – with league titles for both its men’s scratch and first teams in their respective Harrogate & District Union of Golf Clubs competitions.
The first team retained the title it won in 2024 and a total of 26 players competed throughout the season under team captain Chris Payne, with current men’s captain Jonathan Smith competing in all but one of the matches. A 100% home record was also recorded, as the golfers sported new shirts sponsored by men’s vice-captain and team member Barry Rawlinson through his Trawden-based companies Northwest Render and Vertex Render Supplies.
