Sand Moor Golf Club’s Ian Backhouse, Peter Claughton and Kirk Easton teamed up to win the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs’ Seniors Team Championship at Harrogate Golf Club.
The Sand Moor trio of Kirk (71), Ian (71) and Peter (77) posted a team total of 12 over-par and beat Lindrick – represented by Kevin Parkes (69), Richard Jones (73) and Ian Clarke (77) – on countback after the two teams finished tied at the top of the leaderboard.
The individual scoring was led by Rudding Park’s Phil Kitching and Kevin, who both shot level-par rounds of 69.
