Rotherham Golf Club’s Lucas Martin, Jack Whaley and Charlie Daughtrey produced a standout team performance to win the Yorkshire Team Championship at Lindrick.
Lucas (70-71), Jack (67-72) and Charlie (71-77) topped the leaderboard in the 36-hole event – in which all scores count in both rounds – with a team total of eight over-par, beating the teams from Huddersfield and The Oaks by eight shots.
The Rotherham trio – who won the event for the second time in the last three years – will go on to represent Yorkshire in the English Men’s Champion Club event at The Oaks on September 20-21.
