Pitch Property, a new North East-based networking group for property professionals, has hosted its first golf event at Matfen Hall.
Bringing together more than 20 professionals from across the industry and its wider supply chains, the event was the first of several planned throughout the year at Matfen Hall and Close House – with Lucy Hope and Ollie Morgan taking home the prizes.
“We wanted to create something where people could enjoy a day out in a very relaxed atmosphere and connect with others in the industry,” said Pitch Property co-founder Andrew Biggs. “I think our first event delivered on that aim and we couldn’t have been happier with the results.
“The relaxed scramble format, the chance to meet people without any of the formality or structure of an organised networking event, and the stunning setting of Matfen Hall all came together to give us the perfect opening to what we hope will be a successful series of events throughout 2025.
“We can’t thank Nicola and the team at Matfen Hall enough for all their support, and we’re looking forward to teeing it up again later this season.”
Created by Chester-le-Street-based 14-handicapper Andrew – group commercial manager at Host and Stay – and industry consultant Kevin Maddison – who plays off a handicap of nine at Brancepeth Castle – Pitch Property will host golf events throughout 2025 for members from across the property sector and its connected services. There are also off-course events planned later in the year, with opportunities for golfers and non-golfers to get involved.
A range of membership packages are available for individuals and businesses in the property sector and its connected services. For information on upcoming events – including the next golf day at Close House on May 27 – and joining the network, click here.
