Darrington Golf Club’s Peter Marchant has been named president designate of the Leeds & District Union of Golf Clubs.
Peter, a retired civil engineer who is originally from Wolverhampton, will become deputy president in 2026 ahead of serving as president in 2027. He relocated to Yorkshire in 1984 and has been a member of Darrington since 2000 – serving as club captain in 2023.
