Driffield-based Paul Lockwood topped the leaderboard in the PGA in Yorkshire Masters at York Golf Club.
Paul led the way with a three under-par round of 67 in the first event of this season’s order of merit as James Walker and John Wells finished one shot back in a tie for second place.
Next up for the Yorkshire PGA pros is the Burstwick pro am on May 23, before the second event in this year’s points race, The Yorkshire Open, takes place at Howley Hall on May 27. The leading two players in the order of merit at the end of the season will earn places in The Goslings Invitational – which takes place in October at Belmont Hills, Mid Ocean Club and Port Royal in Bermuda.
