Stephen Macari successfully defended the Northumberland Union of Golf Clubs’ County Salver as Prudhoe Golf Club captain Scott Fothergill won the Forster Cup at his home club.
Longhirst Hall-based Stephen led the field for a second consecutive year with a five under-par nett score in the County Salver – which is open to players with handicaps between 4.4-12.4.
In the Forster Cup – which is open to players with handicaps between 12.5-28.4 – Scott topped a tightly packed leaderboard with 39 stableford points.
