Ryan Rastall has been named captain of The PGA in Yorkshire.
Ryan – who is originally from Lincolnshire, is the head professional at Howley Hall, and has been a qualified PGA professional for 10 years – said: “It’s a tremendous honour to be invited to captain The PGA in Yorkshire, my adopted home, and to do so as a second-generation PGA professional following in the footsteps of my dad.
“Having served on the committee and supported events over several years, it will be great to build on that and champion what the association does around the county this season. I also hope to be able to play a little bit more this year, combining that with my role at Howley Hall, and the content work I do with Golfshake.
“It is also particularly exciting to be captain in the same year as Howley Hall celebrates its 125th year – and hosts The Yorkshire Open on May 27, an event the whole club is looking forward to once again and is sure to be a big highlight of the year.”
