Nick Thompson sets Woodhall Hills course record

New course record set at Woodhall Hills

Nick Thompson had a Yorkshire Day to remember at Woodhall Hills as he shot a new course record of 66 over the recently extended course, which has a new par of 72.

Nick, playing off a handicap of one, birdied the last four holes en route to his six under-par score. “It started as a normal round, however after the front nine I just wanted a clean, bogey-free card,” said Nick. “To birdie the last four holes was an added bonus.”

Club captain Richard Turner added: “I’d like to extend my warmest congratulations to Nick for setting a new course record during the Yorkshire Day Competition. What an incredible achievement! To shoot such a phenomenal score in a competitive setting is a true testament to his skill, focus and composure. It’s a proud moment not only for Nick but also for everyone associated with the club.”
