Mizuno has launched the new Pro S-1 irons – a muscleback option which is Grain Flow Forged from a single billet of 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel at Mizuno’s foundry in Hiroshima.
Building on the forged steel feel, a copper underlay further optimises the playing experience while Pro S-1 (RRP £215 per club) also incorporates a Channel Back Design that redistributes mass for greater vertical stability and a more consistent centre of gravity. This works alongside Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology (H.I.T.), which finetunes feel by adjusting the club’s vibration frequencies.
The irons also feature Mizuno’s Tour-Tested Sole Geometry – including a flatter camber profile, sharpened leading edge and increased bounce angle – and are finished in Nickel Chrome Soft White Satin.
