Newcastle United Golf Club’s Michael Burrow has been crowned Scottish Mid-Amateur champion.
Northumberland county player and tour caddy Michael – who will be on Bob MacIntyre’s bag at the Ryder Cup at Bethpage, – shot rounds of 72, 73 and 71 at Southerness to lead the field by two shots as Durham-based Michael Henson finished second.
Meanwhile, Hornsea’s Leigh Gawley won the senior (over 50s) gross title, with Lindrick’s Kevin Parkes in second place.
