Martin McCririck took a commanding lead in the Durham men’s Order of Merit after leading the field in the Tyneside Scratch Open.
South Shields-based Martin topped the leaderboard at Tyneside with a four under-par 66 as Wearside-based Evan Oliver (68) finished second, and City of Newcastle-based Paul Souter (69) finished third.
With the win, Martin earned 150 points in the season-long points race, extending his lead at the top of the table to 170 points, with Brancepeth Castle-based Jack Richardson in second place, and Evan in third place.
Next up in the Durham Order of Merit is the Bishop Bowl at Bishop Auckland Golf Club on Saturday September 13, before the season concludes at Hartlepool on Saturday September 20.
