Longhirst’s junior team will represent Northumberland in England Golf’s Junior Champion Club event for a second consecutive year after winning the county’s Junior Teams Championship at Stocksfield.
The team of Sam Jobson, Kaiden Wright and Ollie Beale led the way with a one under-par total of 73 points in the best two from three stableford format – beating Close House’s team by five points as Gosforth’s team finished third.
They will go on to represent Northumberland in the Junior Champion Club event at Spalding Golf Club on August 12-13.
