Lancashire’s girls’ team topped the leaderboard in the 2025 Northern Counties Junior Jamboree at Gosforth Golf Club.
The event sees players play a stableford round and matchplay games to earn points for their team over two days. While Cheshire held the lead after day one with a very consistent team performance, day two belonged to the Lancashire team as they won five out of six matches and their sixth player lost a very closely fought match on the 18th to clinch the team title.
In the individual event, Northumberland’s P Harrison topped the leaderboard with the highest individual score across the two days.
Northumberland Ladies County Golf Association honorary secretary Kathryn Archibald said: “Congratulations to P Harrison and Lancashire for well-deserved wins, and well done to all the junior girls who took part. Irrespective of the match results, the players had a great time and lots of laughs in the process. Thanks to everyone who made this a very successful and fun event – especially the team at Gosforth Golf Club – as well as all the volunteers, players and team managers, plus the NLCGA team.”
