Middlesbrough Golf Club-based Katie Stephens beat defending champion Grace Lambert to win the 120th Yorkshire Ladies County Golf Association Championship at Huddersfield.
Katie, who won the English Amateur Championship at Seaton Carew in 2024, beat Hessle-based Grace 4&3 in the event’s final to become county champion for the first time.
Having tied at the top of the leaderboard in the two-round strokeplay qualifying portion of the event, Katie and Grace progressed to the final through three rounds of matchplay – including overcoming semi-finalists Mila Dodds (Sand Moor) and Becky O’Grady (Howley Hall).
