Junior Dobson topped the leaderboard in the Northumberland Union of Golf Clubs’ North and South Trophy at Whitley Bay Golf Club to win his first individual men’s county title.
Hexham-based Junior led the field of 72 players in the 36-hole event, shooting rounds of 72 and 71 for a one under-par total. Meanwhile, City of Newcastle’s Andrew Minnikin and Close House-based duo Carl Thompson and Andrew Griffiths finished two shots back in second place.
