Jake Sowden wins the Philip Scrutton Jug

Jake Sowden was presented with the Philip Scrutton Jug following his performances in the Berkshire and Brabazon trophies.

Jake – who is based at The Oaks – shot rounds of 69, 65, 71 and 75 at The Berkshire Golf Club to finish on seven under-par and win The Berkshire Trophy.

In the Brabazon Trophy at Hankley Common, he shot rounds of 68, 71, 71 and 77 to finish in a tie for 24th place as Biagio Andrea Gagliardi became the first Italian winner of the event.

The jug, which was first awarded in 1959, is presented to the player with the lowest combined aggregate score in the two 72-hole events.
