Following his four college wins this season, Jack Whaley was part of Dalton State’s victory in the Southern States Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Championship in Greenville, Alabama.
Rotherham-based Jack finished third overall in the event at RTJ Golf Trail at Cambrian Ridge – shooting rounds of 72, 78 and 62 for a four under-par total – as the Roadrunners posted a team total of 10 under-par in the three-round event and lifted the trophy with a 25-shot winning margin.
Jack’s 10 under-par 62 in the final round set a new men’s course record at RTJ Golf Trail at Cambrian Ridge, and set a new SSAC record for the lowest round in conference championship history.
Following the team win, Jack was also named SSAC Player of the Year for a second consecutive year.
Dalton State is now set to tee it up in the 2025 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Men’s Golf Championship on May 20-23 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.
