The Halifax, Huddersfield and District Union of Golf Clubs’ men’s team topped the Yorkshire Inter-District Union league after a dramatic final day draw with the Sheffield union.
The final-round draw at Dore & Totley completed an unbeaten season for the Halifax-Huddersfield men’s team – who also drew away from home against the East Riding Union while winning five matches to secure 12 points and beat East Riding – who lost their only match of the season on the final day against the York union at Sandburn Hall – by just one point.
