Durham Seniors looking to strengthen squad

Durham County Seniors are looking to build on last year’s successful campaign by boosting their squad of players.

Durham finished third in the Northern Counties League and celebrated individual success with Ian Hendry winning the prestigious David Marsh Trophy at Southport & Ainsdale and the Aberdovey Seniors, while George Wraith clinched the Scottish Super Seniors Masters at Southerness.

Seniors champion Anthony Black also finished fifth in the English Senior Champions of Champions at Woodhall Spa, and Ian McEntee was runner-up in the Northern Counties Seniors Championship at Ponteland. There was also a tantalising performance in Northern Counties Qualifying – when Durham looked set to finish second until the weather took over.
