Crookhill Park teams end season on a high

Crookhill Park Golf Club’s scratch and 6-18 teams enjoyed successful Sheffield Union seasons – with the scratch team earning promotion to division one for 2026 and the 6-18 team being crowned league champions.

The 6-18-handicap league team – which competes in 14 matches involving four foursomes games throughout the season – topped division one following a 6-2 win over Rotherham in their final match. The win gave them 74 points and a five-point lead over Sickleholme.

Meanwhile, the scratch team earned promotion as runners-up in division two, finishing second to leaders Worksop. The scratch league title went to Rotherham by the slimmest of margins after they finished tied with Wheatley at the top of division one with 29 wins, 16 loses and three halves for 61 points each.
